Alliance Network X Limited (ANX, we, us) is responsible for the personal information described here. ANX is the controller under the Data Protection Act, 2020 (Jamaica). When you register your interest we ask: where the business operates (in or outside Jamaica); how big it is (US$5 million a year or less, a new idea, or above US$5 million); which of our five sectors; whether you run an operating business or have an idea; optionally a revenue range and how your books are kept; your full name and email; optionally a business name and a message.
We do not ask for your phone number, identity numbers, bank details, health details, or your race or sex. Please do not put them in your message. Our criteria mention businesses founded by a Black woman. We do not ask about this on the form. If it comes up when we talk, we will tell you before the call what we note and how long we keep it.
When you send the form we record the time, your IP address, your browser and device type, and the page you came from. To stop spam, we count submissions from each address for about an hour. If a submission is blocked as spam, we keep a short security record of the time, the IP address and the reason, never your message, for 30 days.
We use Google Analytics, run by Google in the United States, to count visits and to see which pages are used and whether the register-interest form is started and sent. It uses cookies and records information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We do not send your form answers to Google Analytics. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
To reply to you; to decide whether to invite you to talk with us about working together; to keep a record of the enquiries we have handled; and to protect the website and form from spam and misuse. We do not use your details to match you with investors, and we do not send marketing. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running a safe website, and your request when you ask us to contact you.
Form notifications go by email to admin@alliancenetworkx.com. Only ANX team members who handle enquiries read submissions. The people who administer the website can also access the website’s systems.
Service providers who run the website for us handle your information on our behalf: our web host GoDaddy, Cloudflare (security and speed, United States), Google (analytics, United States) and our email provider. We do not sell your information. We may share it with our lawyers and advisers, and with authorities where the law requires.
Some services we use are based outside Jamaica, including Cloudflare and Google (United States). Your information may be handled there. We use providers that protect it to a standard we consider appropriate.
Submissions saved by the website are deleted automatically after 90 days. Copies of the notification email are kept in our mailboxes only as long as we need them to handle your enquiry. Website backups are replaced on a rolling basis. Security records are kept for 30 days. If we invite you to talk and keep a record of that, we keep it for up to 12 months if we do not go ahead together.
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how we use it. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner. Send requests to admin@alliancenetworkx.com.
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to submissions is limited to the people who handle them, and administrator sign-in is protected against repeated guessing. No system is completely secure.
We may update this policy. The version and date at the top show the latest change.
